Let go of the day

For this Beditation, we will be using your breath to help focus your attention.

The intention here is not to get rid of thoughts but to center ourselves. Thoughts will come and go.

The intention is to notice these thoughts when they arrive and then simply let them pass. We do not want to hold them against us. We do not want to push them away. We simply let them come and go, noticing them and letting them pass.

This Beditation is about recognizing when this happens and bringing your mind back to the present moment. Practicing this skill will allow your mind to remain in the present, rather than drift into thoughts of the past or concerns for the future.

The more you practice, the more you’ll find that you are calmer. You will be better able to focus and concentrate.
